Broad Building Cal Tech

The sleek, ultra-modern Broad Building for Biological Sciences is among the newest additions to the Cal Tech campus in Pasadena.

California Institute of Technology began its existence as Throop Polytechnic Institute in 1905 and over the last century has become one of the premiere scientific educational and research centers in the world.  Undergraduate students number fewer than 900 with an additional 1200 graduates students. And if there is going to be an earth colony on the Moon or Mars, it is likely that the basic scientific work will have been done at Cal Tech or by its graduates.  Nobel Laureates are everywhere on campus.  Cal Tech staffs and runs the Jet Propulsion Laboratory in La Canada for NASA.  Cal Tech is located on Hill Ave. at California.

Pasadena City College
Pasadena City College promotes the fact that graduates of this 2 year college have the highest transfer rate to 4 year universities and college of any community college in California.  Among its notable graduates: baseball great Jackie Robinson, rocker Eddie Van Halen and fashion designer Bob Mackie.  Located on Colorado at Hill Ave.

Fuller Theological Seminary Pasadena Fuller Theological Seminary is an evangelical Christian graduate school for ministers and therapists on a compact and very charming campus off Los Robles and Union near Old Town.

Where does your new car begin its life?  Why at Art Center College of Design, of course.  This art and design school is noted for its graduates' work designing new cars at auto manufacturers.  But graduates also go on to work in films and development of other products.  Located on Lida St, in the Linda Vista neighborhood on the west side of the Arroyo Seco where there are the best views in all Pasadena!

If food is your passion, the Los Angeles branch of Le Cordon Bleu college for culinary arts is actually located on Green Street in Pasadena.  Many graduates go on to work in local Pasadena restaurants.

And, of course, there is the ubiquitous University of Phoenix on Corson St. at the edge of Old Town.
