Part Three of your self-guided public art walk in downtown Los Angeles continues down Hope Street near Third in the Bunker Hill neighborhood.

Ulysses by Alexander Liberman This sculpture  entitled "Ulysses" is the work of noted photographer Alexander Liberman.  He was one of several non-sculptors who were commissioned to create works outside their traditional field of art.

Bunker Hill stairs downtown Los Angeles
At the top of these stairs is a reflecting pool and at the center stands yet another female figure by Robert Graham.

Descend the stairs and cross the street to the Los Angeles Main Public Library.


Sculpture in pool Los Angeles Main Library Stairs and water are the themes of this part of the Bunker Hill walking tour.  This reflecting pool is one of several on the west side of the Public Library.  There are several other pieces of art in this garden area.  Be sure to note what is written on the stairs.
